Marlie Moore is an experienced cam model who has been doing live cam shows for a little over 2 years now and loves what she does. She is currently working on Naked.com and has a very large following. We spoke with Marlie Moore about her current position and she seemed very pleased, heres what she had to say.
- What peaked your interest about the live adult chat host business?
Well, the money played a huge part in it as I was currently enrolled in college and had a lot of expenses to take care of at the time ( books, car payment, rent, tuition ) . I was considering exotic dancing but I wasn’t very comfortable with the idea. Since then I’ve found a great way of supporting myself working in this business. I honestly love it..
- Did you find it hard to get started?
Not really, I already had all of the stuff I needed to get going and the guys at Naked.com took great care of me. One of my friends actually told me about this site so I applied and got accepted they had me fill out a few documents and I sent them over a copy of my IDs and they had me online within 24 hours of our initial contact. I was a little nervous at first I really had never done anything like this before so gettin naked for strangers wasn’t something I was used to.
- What do you look for in a company that your interested in working with?
When I first started looking at doing this type of work, I was really confused. I did a lot of research but really didn’t come up with any reliable information. Most of the resources I found seemed to be heavily opionated. I really ended up getting lucky finding naked.com, as they were one of the first sites who contacted me back. When they told me a little bit more about their company and how their site worked, I figured what the hell I’ll give it a shot. After being in this business for a while I know this isn’t the right way to go about things as I said I really got lucky with the site I found, since then I’ve heard and read some real horry stories from other models and their experiences on other sites.
The first thing I would look for is a reliable and reputable company who is willing to work with their models to make money. A lot of the sites out there seem to be quick to promise you the world but once you start working you realize 99.9% of what they told you was bullshit.
Members and traffic are key elements to a great site. The more traffic and members a site has, the more exposure your going to get and that raises the potential money you could earn while working on the site. Sites with little to no traffic are worth working on even if they promise you 3.99/min, if you think about it you may spend 3-4 hours on during a session, in that session you may get one private that one private maybe 20-30 min long thats about the avg show for me. So 3.99/min times 20 minutes is around $80 now that sounds great, but for 4 hours of time that works out to $20/hour, after working on a busier site and the pay rate being $1 per min I realized the difference. The site that was paying me $1 per min actually had members and traffic, on that site I made around $50/hour so for 4 hours of my time was making around $200. HUGE DIFFERENCE!
Also competition can be a huge factor when looking at a new site, if you see a site is overloaded with models it maybe a better idea to try another site with the same amount of traffic and less competition. Sites with 500-1000 models online really don’t provide you with a steady income stream unless your a unique model doing unique shows or already have a following. Think about it work on a site with 1000 girls online where your basically begging for privates or work on a site with 100-200 girls online and make bank.
These are just a few things that I’ve thought of after the fact and after working on a few different sites. These suggestions don’t apply in all situations but in most cases you will find this to be true.
